Every 4s, Faramis' next skill against enemy heroes and summoned objects generates a soul fragment on the spot. Faramis can absorb the soul fragment to restore 100 (+50% Total Magic Power) HP and gain 2 extra Magic Power (up to 40 stacks). Upon death, he consumes the absorbed soul fragments to reduce the respawn timer, each reducing the timer by 3% (up to 90%). Enemies that die around Faramis also have a chance to drop soul fragments.

Faramis enters the Shadow state for 3s, gaining 70% Movement Speed, 25 Physical & Magic Defense, and 20% Cooldown Reduction of this skill. He also gains the ability to move through terrain. Enemy heroes he touches take 250 (+60% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and are marked with a Nether Mark. Upon leaving the Shadow state, Faramis pulls all the marked enemy heroes toward him, dealing 250 (+60% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. Use Again: Ends the Shadow state early to pull marked enemy heroes toward him. Soul Fragment absorption range is increased while this skill is active.

In teamfights, use Faramis' Ultimate to protect his allies, then get close to the enemy and apply Nether Marks with his 1st Skill. Activate the 1st Skill again to pull them over and follow up with his 2nd Skill for additional damage.

In the laning phase, use Faramis' 1st Skill to get close to the enemy and hit them with his 2nd Skill while applying a Nether Mark with the 1st Skill. Then, use his 1st Skill again to pull the enemy back to him.
Faramis' ability to temporarily prevent teammates from being killed makes him a good pick against heroes that go all-in to burst down a target, like Saber and Eudora.
Faramis is countered by high mobility heroes that are difficult for him to catch with his 1st Skill, such as Novaria and Pharsa.
